Bone Health is instrumental to overall health, quality of life, and longevity. As people age, bones lose calcium and other essential minerals. According to National Osteoporosis Foundation, 9 million adults in the U.S. have osteoporosis and more than 48 million have low bone mass, resulting in approximately 15 million fractures each year. In addition 50% of woman (and 25% of men) over the age of 50 will have osteoporosis related fracture in their lifetime. In fact, a woman's risk for osteoporotic caused hip fracture is the same as her breast, ovarian, and uterine cancer risks combined.

Joint health is essential for the function of bone since both influence one another in all forms of movement. Over time, and years of war and tear, the shock absorbing joints deteriorate and become susceptible to disease. Arthritis, a general term for conditions affecting the joints and surrounding tissues, can affect people of all ages and abilities. In fact, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, an estimated 67 million Americas, 18 years or older are projected to have doctor-diagnoses arthritis by 2030.

The bioDensity system can aid in safely increasing bone density and joint integrity by stimulating the joints. This response occurs as a result of self-applied compressive forces on the skeletal bones using optimal biomechanics.

The bioDensity system safely aids in increasing bone density by stimulating the body's natural bone generation process. Base on the science of Wolff's law, the theory demonstrating bone adaptation to applied pressure, the bioDensity process applies optimal biomechanics for the self-compression of bone mass. In addition, these compressive forces stimulate the growth of tendons and ligaments increasing the strength and stability of joints.

Power Plate

The vibration technology behind Power Plate equipment enhances motor unit recruitment and synchonization resulting in increased force production and efficiency of movement. Power Plate creates 25-50 vibrations per second forcing the body's kietic chain to respon each time, requiring stabilization, coordination, strength and endurance.

In response to the vibration stimulus, individuals can produce up to 95% of their voluntary force potential while performing safe and pain free movements. These positive outcomes are made possible by the multi-dimensional stimulation of the body's natural reflex arc allowing sensory motor function to be created and developed at a subconscious level.

The Power Plate device creates a level of proprioceptive stimulation complimentary to the demand of Earth's gravity without excessive loads being placed on the musculoskeletal system.

The vibrations produced by the Power Plate device trigger neurological responses in muscle, which stimulate sensory receptors to elicit a "tonic vibration reflex." When using Power Plate, the recruitment threshold of motor units is lower when compared to threshold during voluntary muscular contraction. More importantly, involuntary contractions occur in respons to the vibration stimulus. Therefore, patients with limited mobility can benefit just as musch as patients who are more agile.

Power Plate has successfully shown to improve a variety of health conditions, including:

  • Idopathic peripheral neuropathy
  • Osteoporosis
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Parkinson's disease
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis

Demo Center

Dr. Sean and Dr. Matt are both biomechanical and movement specialists. There many kinds of exercises and stretches they will recommend when it comes to helping the body heal, but what about for Wellness? The X3 Bar workout encompasses the best of the fundamentals when it comes optimizing your workout. There are 4 main workouts when it comes to improving biomechanical health:

  • Deadlift
  • Squat
  • Chest Press
  • Shoulder Press

Many people are afraid of this risk of injury with some of these workouts, but the X3 program does an amazing job of eliminating that risk with its workout system. Bryan Wellness Center is a X3 Demo Center, so please feel free to try the workout here first or have the doctors check your form!
